Eanna Freeney is the Editor-in-Chief of the independent publishing house The Velvet Cell formed in 2010. Based in London, its focus is on urban photography and themes of alienation and dislocations. Their interest is to make quality photography both affordable and accessible.

"I am passionate about urban photography that challenges contemporary and commercial photography aesthetics and I fully believe The Velvet Cell is evidence of this theory." Eanna Freeney
The Velvet Cell Books has released its debut publication, a 16 full-colour page booklet, of photographs by Austrian photographer Thomas Albdorf. Albdorf's photos capture a desolate image of Vienna and its surroundings, highlighting the often overlooked beauty of the urban environment.
The Velvet Cell also has an e-zine and is preparing for its eight issue right now.
