Gratuitous Type is a pamphlet of typographic smut. Celebrating the letter in all its forms, GT focuses its dirty mind on typography, art, language and publishing. Issue 1 was released in winter 2011 and includes features of Alexis Anne Mackenzie (San Francisco), Buchstabenmuseum (Berlin), Chicago…Times…Trixie (Vienna), Christian Hansen (Seattle), David Smith Atelier (Dublin), Evelin Kasikov (London), Triboro (Brooklyn) and also find a special insert featuring some amazing 60s and 70s-era Cuban book covers.
