Recently, from Madrid, Silvia Bianchi and Ricardo Juárez just released a print version of their project Barriobajero. The result is a refreshing 16-page self-published fanzine (A6) in black toner print on marble and gradient papers plus a pop up poster in A4 size. Each copy printed on paper of different colors is a perfect refreshing blend to relieve the heat of summer with flat shapes, geometries, delirious found images and a delicious kitsch taste.
In their own words:
“Barriobajero is an unpredictable collection of images in which every object has its place. In this visual game where the theme is the absurd and the kitsch, the goal is to invent a different story every time.
On the first trip outside the network, Barriobajero has been materialized in a small fanzine on marble and gradient papers, found summery images and freshness. You can get it writing an email to hello [at] rjvv [dot] com or from their page online via paypal”.
