Instant is an independent photography publication based on snap shot photography. The title, instant is come from an old Latin word instans. It means ‘in + stare’, ‘being at hand’. Instant is made by three people who are all taking pictures as a journal in their daily lives. Its first issue is published in March 2010. The first issue is named <Journal to Journey>. All pictures are printed on paper that have films own ratio. Instant is published irregular. And they all hope to communicate by pictures than words.
The first issue, is a journal of three peoples trips: north Indian, Paris and Busan. Firstly, Immimyung´s “Fragments of the summer” shows calm and tension together by enlarged pictures from one of a vacation spot in north India. And Woosung Sohn presents daily life scenes in Paris. Especially Flaneur jeans a stroller in French. He was trying to be flaneur when he was staying, walking there. So his Flaneur series literally shows flaneur and it´s taken by flaneur. Finally, Bbossing´s (aka Boeun Hwang) “One summer day, we are…” is composed by light and bright pictures of her friends which were taken in Ga-Duk-Do, Busan.
