Luján Marcos and Roberto Vidal , curators of the exhibition {libro}, invited 27 artists whose work has been exhibit in Mad is Mad Gallery during the last 5 years, to explore the possibilities of the book as an artistic medium. They used, the concept of book, like a traditional vehicle of literary and theoretical texts as a basis for artistic experimentation, in order to explore the boundaries physical and conceptual of it.
In this case, the artist works as a painter, cartoonist, writer, printer, bookbinder, publisher, etc. Conceived and authored their own books. They worked on the idea of artist book as a nexus that integrates all the arts, either as support or as a conceptual basis.
